Problem
Beginner plant owners often know they need to care for their plants consistently but struggle to determine what each plant needs and when. Plant-care information is scattered across websites, can be contradictory, and requires users to translate general advice into their own routines. PlantBud explores how personalized guidance could make everyday plant care easier to understand and maintain.
Solution
PlantBud turns plant-care information into a personalized routine. Users can add their plants, view care instructions based on each plant's needs, and organize recurring tasks into a manageable schedule. Rather than requiring users to repeatedly research their plants, the experience brings essential guidance and reminders together in one place.
Research
I observed and interviewed potential users to understand how beginners currently research and manage plant care. Participants frequently switched between websites, encountered conflicting information, and struggled to translate general care instructions into routines that fit their schedules.
